Privacy

Last updated September 14, 2026. This page explains, in plain terms, what this website and the Miguan extension collect, what stays on your device, and who we share it with.

Your account

You can sign up with an email and password, a passkey, or an account you already use elsewhere. We keep your email address and a display name. If you set a password, we store it in a protected form that we cannot read. We also keep sign-in records so you stay logged in and so we can spot abuse. Sign-up and password-reset emails are delivered by our email provider.

A passkey never leaves your device. If you add one, the fingerprint or face check happens on your own hardware — we receive only what is needed to recognise your device. We never see your fingerprint or face.

Payments

Payments and subscriptions are handled by a payment provider. Your card details go straight to them and never reach our servers. We keep only enough to know which plan you are on and when your current period ends.

Online features (Miguan Pro)

Some features send the text you ask about to an outside provider so it can be processed for you. That provider handles it under its own policies. We do not keep your messages on our servers.

To keep usage within your plan we hold a simple count of how much you have used. These counts are temporary and are deleted after a short period.

Features that run on your own machine stay there. Your reading history, saved words and notes remain on your device.

Cookies and storage

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and remember your theme and language in your browser. The extension stores its own settings on your device. We also use an analytics service to understand how the site is used. We do not run advertising.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, which ends your sessions. To delete your account and the information described here, email us from the address you registered with and we will remove it.
